2007#3 George Washington's Birthday 10K

Our friends at Pacer's Running put on this event, and it looked like a fun concept - 10K on a Saturday morning, starting and ending at the Eisenhower Metro Station. Things got a bit more interesting when it snowed at the beginnning of that week, meaning we could NOT use the trails, but the City of Alexandria was cooperative enough to let us do a two-loop five kilometer course on Eisenhower Avenue.

Race day - usual early start (8:00am), but it was 24 degrees, and windy! That is cold, no matter how you say it. We got out and did it, earned "bragging rights", and were not quite the last ones to finish with our 1:26:51 hand-in-hand to keep warm.
