2007#4 GW Parkway 10 Miler

Let's just make this brief and tell you it's a beautiful course. You gather at Oronoco Park in Old Town, they bus you down to Mt. Vernon so you can walk back to Alexandria. It's late April (22nd in 2007) and spring is very much in the air, with everything green and blooming. The path along the Potomac is a great place to walk, but having the George Washington Parkway closed to traffic and being able to walk there with no buses and cars belching fumes a few feet away is a real treat, not to mention how quiet it seems.

We'll forget the times, Naomi had a foot problem and we came home in a medical unit. Nothing in the way of permanent damage, but it was a bit frustrating.
